The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is a standardized test. It is an admissions prerequisite test for the majority Graduate Schools in the United States and is held and administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS).

The test is organized mainly to measure quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, verbal reasoning and critical reasoning skills. In the like manner, the content of GRE are algebra, geometry, arithmetic and vocabulary.

Test structure

Analytical writing: Total duration 1 hour 15 minutes, (45 minutes for paragraph reading and forming an opinion and 30 minutes for easy writing) (computer based test)

Verbal section:  Total duration 30 minutes (computer based test)

Math section: Total duration 45 minutes (computer based test)
